Mistress In Long Coat

Romney

An initial contribution from the world of wool and sheep Viewfinder: Also heard if Romney one of the most common sheep breeds in the world, it is certainly not easy to get raw wool: main population areas of the race are England (home) Australia / New Zealand (main producer) and North America. In England there is the marketing monopoly of the British Wool Marketing Board, probably the reason why I sold despite some breeder sites, could not find a direct marketer for raw wool ( http://www.worldofwool.co.uk washed hair from Romney lamb, but that's not even what I'm looking for). Which are in the U.S. and New Zealand (by the way very informative with photos), but who wants to pay even the postage and customs?

In Deut Chand are - as far as I can - not Romney's registered
  • following search path: www.schafe-are-toll.de is the homepage of the Association of German national sheep breeding associations. Under "Members" the individual state associations with links to their homepages listed, and on the pages can be reached by sheep breeds sorted lists of the owners / breeders with contact information.
now I am in contact with a holder and direct marketers in the Netherlands (where it seems to us better prepared for a total small wool processors to be)
  • Findeweg following: http://www.vssschapen.nl/ is the home page Vereniging van Speciale Schapen races. Directly on the first page you will find pictures with the various sheep breeds with links to lists of the owners / breeders.
end of February will be clipped and then I'll see how it looks with the wool. Latest then another of the beautiful world of Romney.

Here you can see the way a Romney times in the fur ...

And a Romney video, because I've learned degree, such as embedding is (thanks Annette):

In two other videos you may very well see the characteristic wavy structure of the Romney wool.
