La Befana!
Today is 6th January: in Italy the day is celebrated not only as the kings arrive Heilege but also as the day of the Befana, a magical old woman, the little gifts in a sock brings to children. It works like a bite of Nicholas.
Befana I like better than Christmas: E is quiet and nice. It still has a hold simbols and pagan meaning.
To to celebrate this day, I made a sock. Where I could make a small gift for my friend. It is not perfect, but I have it i just an hour sewing, so it's not bad!
Fröh Befana to all!
Today is the 6th of January: the day for that Catholic people represents the arrival of the three wise men, it is celebrated in Italy with the arrival of Befana, a magical old woman that brings small presents to kids in a sock .
Befana holds therefore a pagan significance, Despite the catholic recurrence.
I like this festivity because it is almost a secret, but rich undertone of significance and magic. To celebrate it I sewed a sock with some cotton fabric and found a couple of colorful fabric scraps, where to put the present for my boyfriend. It is not perfect But thinking that i made it in one hour time, well it is not bad!
Happy Epiphany!
Good Befana!
L 'Epiphany and' a party I like a lot: and 'almost a secret, and' less noisy of Christmas and it has maintained its value and pay a symbolic rebirth.
To celebrate I have to put a sock wrapped gifts for my boy, and certainly not 'perfect, but considering that it took me 1 hour to finish it, not' bad. Good
